ConcussionSim training tools
Polo and equestrian, rugby, cycling and general sport scenarios remain live in the simulator. The grassroots course supplies the common UK safety foundation; the simulator supplies the decision practice.
Open sport-specific extensionsClinical content reviewed 22 September 2026. The UK-wide grassroots baseline remains the November 2024 guidance; polo content is checked against the live HPA 2026 Rules & Safety/Concussion Protocol; head-injury escalation against NICE NG232; and HIA terminology against the current World Rugby protocol. Governing-body rules can change, so event-day decisions should use the live source where it is stricter.
Training & education only. The grassroots pathway supports recognition, removal, escalation and recovery education. The ConcussionSim clinical extension supports structured pitchside learning.
Neither pathway replaces emergency escalation, live clinical assessment, sport-specific governing-body rules, medical review or GWAS clinical governance. This app does not clear anyone to return to play, riding or cycling. Live clinical records remain in the PCR system.
